Wellness Center Staff

Marissa (She/Her) has been with CWU for 6 years as the Director of Wellness and Health Promotion. As the director, Marissa supports the Wellness team in developing, facilitating and leading many campus health initiatives. Marissa specializes in designing environmental level health promotion strategies. She is a proud partner of the Division of Health and Wellness at CWU. Her favorite places in Ellensburg are Grocery Outlet, Bargain Market or Paul Rogers Wildlife Park. In her free time, she likes to hike and spend time outside with her miniature Australian shepherd, Brick. She also trys out new recipes and love watching nature documentaries.

Elizabeth (She/Her) recently joined the Wellness Center as Health Promotion Coordinator, providing confidential consultation to students who are interested in exploring patterns of substance use and creating plans for change. Elizabeth also organizes the L.E.A.D. Recovery organization for students in substance use recovery and those who would like to support recovery efforts. Elizabeth has a Master of Arts degree in clinical mental health counseling with certificates in addictions counseling and systemic multicultural counseling. Elizabeth is new to CWU and to Ellensburg, and she enjoys exploring all that the community has to offer. In her free time, Elizabeth can be found walking her dogs, listening to paranormal podcasts, or watching college football.

Arryn (she/her) has been with the Wellness Center for 3.5 years and takes pride in meeting students in a supportive and compassionate way that ensures the student will receive any and all resources they may need to be successful at CWU.

You will often find Arryn representing the Health and Wellness Unit at any resource fair, Orientation, or support network panel. She is the supervisor of our 3 student Wellness Ambassadors.

Arryn loves taking her dogs to the Yakima River, trying out culinary techniques, and cooking for others.

Katie (Sher/Her) recently joined the Wellness Center team as the Health Promotion Coordinator for Violence Prevention and Response. She received her B.S. in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies from Central Michigan University in 2019 and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan in 2021. She has previous experience working in the field of violence prevention and response and is very passionate about this work. Katie takes pride in offering compassionate, trauma-informed services to survivors and working to create a healthy and safe campus environment.Her favorite spot in Ellensburg is the water tower. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, playing piano, reading, and hiking.

Jasmine (They/Them) recently joined us after being a student employee at the Wellness Center as our Health Promotion Coordinator in Mental Health. They graduated with a degree in Communications and joins the team with a passion and drive for creating a healthier campus for students. Since graduating recently, Jasmine knows what current students are facing and the questions they may have about Mental Health, and they are excited to provide answers. When not at work, Jasmine likes to visit their family on the westside, read, or attempt new things.
