Director of Development for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS)

The Director of Development (DoD) is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to serve in a primary leadership role at one of Washington state’s best regional universities with a growing advancement program. The Director of Development for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) is a frontline fundraising position that is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new and existing donors and prospects, including alumni, parents, friends, and other constituents. The Director of Development has a dual reporting relationship to an Assistant Vice President for Development and to the Dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS). The DoD works in close partnership with the College’s Dean, faculty, program directors, staff, and other stakeholders to engage the College’s top donors and partners, resulting in increased funding investment for CEPS. With a primary focus on securing major gifts, this creative, forward-thinking leader plays a distinctive role in securing significant, transformative gifts that will enhance and magnify CEPS’s ability to accomplish its unique mission and goals. The DoD is expected to support CWU’s commitment to diversity and to bring and support inclusion into the university environment. This opportunity may be based in Ellensburg or in the Seattle metro area.

Associate Director/Director of Development of Athletics

The Associate Director (ADOD) or Director of Development (DOD) for Athletics is an exciting opportunity for a frontline fundraiser to serve in a unit-based leadership role at one of Washington state’s best comprehensive universities with a growing advancement program. The fundraising position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new and existing donors and prospects, including alumni, parents, friends, and other constituents and has a dual reporting relationship to an Assistant Vice President for Development and to the Director of Athletics. The ADOD or DOD will focus on fundraising priorities articulated by university department of athletics and university advancement leadership. The ADOD has a focus on mid-level gifts and will manage a portfolio of mid-level gift donors and prospects, with some activity with major gift donors possible as their portfolio grows. The DOD has a focus of activity on major gifts and will manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects.

Wildcat Athletics compete in NCAA Division II with six men’s varsity sports teams and seven women’s varsity sports teams. Tomlinson stadium, which hosts football, rugby and soccer recently underwent extensive renovation and improvement funded by philanthropic support. Construction is currently underway to renovate the Nicholson Pavilion into a state-of-the-art health education building combining athletic and academic programs, funded by state investment and donors.

Senior Director, Advancement

Central Washington University is recruiting a Senior Director of Advancement Services to join our University Advancement team in Ellensburg, Washington. This role is an important member of our team as they enhance the vision for the University. The role is a campus-based position, which means you get to see the lives you are impacting. We're offering a salary, depending on experience, from $96,000 - $107,622 annually plus the awesome CWU benefits.

The Senior Director, Advancement Services has responsibility to ensure that technology, data, and other advancement services are functioning at a high level and working in close coordination with CWU and CWU Foundation financial systems. This ensures that CWU Foundation can grow its engagement and fundraising programs, receive gifts and donors are confident that gifts are used according to donor intent. The role provides oversight and management of all advancement services including data management, reporting and analytics, gift processing, prospect research/management and donor stewardship/special events functions.

The Senior Director serves as the Chief Compliance Officer for the CWU Foundation and oversees all compliance matters, including the gift agreement process. The Senior Director promotes continual improvement practices across University Advancement. and leads various operational issues such as professional development and talent management, related to University Advancement office operations to ensure that the Advancement program functions at a high level. The Senior Director manages a variety of key vendor relationships on behalf of Advancement rated to data and technology and is responsible for ensuring all vendors and staff who have access to Advancement data understand and are covered by relevant confidentiality policies and procedures. Director, Donor Stewardship

Central Washington University is recruiting a Director of Donor Stewardship to join our Advancement team in Ellensburg, Washington. This role is an important member of our team as they responsible for leading, designing, implementing and strategic management of a comprehensive donor stewardship program for donors to CWU Foundation and for the University. The role is a campus-based position, which means you get to see the lives you are impacting. We're offering a salary, depending on experience, from $63,776 - $79,720 annually plus the awesome CWU benefits.

The Director of Donor Stewardship is responsible for leading, designing, implementing and strategic management of a comprehensive donor stewardship program for donors to CWU Foundation. This includes directing efforts to enhance the overall giving experience for CWU donors and demonstrate the impact of their support. The Director will manage a team to conduct this work; work with Advancement leadership and development officers on specific donor stewardship strategies in accordance with the fiduciary responsibilities; and manage a program of donor recognition gift societies and donor engagement and stewardship events. Operations Assistant

Central Washington University is recruiting a Operations Assistant to join our University Advancement team in Ellensburg, Washington. This role is an important member of our team as they enhance the vision for the University. The role is a campus-based position, which means you get to see the lives you are impacting. We're offering a salary, depending on experience, from $34,680 - $44,808 annually plus the awesome CWU benefits.

The Operations Assistant ensures accurate processing of charitable gifts received daily by the CWU Foundation program, updating alumni and donor records in the database. This position makes independent decisions involving proper entry of donations in accordance with IRS Regulations; assists with the management of Advancement’s prospect management system, which includes ensuring the accurate processing of prospect assignments within the database, based on recommendations and in support of the Associate Director of Research and Prospect Management; produces basic donor and prospect research profiles and conducts other basic prospect research activity at the direction of the Associate Director of Research and Prospect Management.
