SOURCE 2022-23 is scheduled for May 17 and May 18, 2023. See below for each day's events!

Day 1: Wednesday - May 17th, 2023

Opening Session - SURC Ballroom/SURC Pit

We're kicking off SOURCE in style! The opening session will include music from our very own 88.1 The 'Burg, an inspiring keynote from Distinguished Professor of Biology and STEM Education Dr. Ian Quitadomo, and a fashion show preview hosted by CWU's Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising department all accompanied by light breakfast items and beverages.

Poster Sessions - Brooks Library/Hogue Tech

Come interact with your peers and learn about the projects they are working on across all disciplines here at CWU. The Library will host most of the posters, with Hogue Tech hosting presentations from our Engineering students. The posters and presentations will be displayed in two separate one-hour sessions, so make plans to attend both!

Talks, Performances, and Exhibitions - SURC/Health Sciences/Discovery Hall/Samuelson Hall/Randall Hall

Wander around the CWU campus to experience a variety of presentations including research talks, dance performances, spoken word poetry, artwork displays, live demonstrations, and so much more! We'll provide you with a detailed list of where and when each of the presentations is scheduled for (closer to the event) so that you can plan your afternoon accordingly.

Day 2: Thursday - May 18th, 2023

College Open Houses - Locations TBD

New to SOURCE this year: College Open Houses! Each college will host an open house offering a peek into the interactive and innovative methods and projects (high impact practices) faculty are using to teach here at CWU. Learn more about each college and the programs they offer, and see what their faculty are passionate about. Stay tuned for more information on where each college will be hosting their open house.

Panels - SURC (Theatre/Ballroom/137A&B)

This is an opportunity to participate in panels hosted by CWU faculty, staff, students, and some special guests!

  • Panel 1: Presentation by Dr. Xyanthe Neider on the topic of Social Justice
  • Panel 2: A discussion on the CWU student experience covering topics such as internships and Study Abroad
  • Panel 3: A discussion about research at CWU from the student perspective

Closing Reception & Awards Ceremony - SURC Ballroom

We'll be concluding SOURCE with our reception and awards ceremony. There will be live music, food and beverages, and of course the awards for outstanding student presentations and faculty mentors. Join us to celebrate all of the hard work that goes into presenting at SOURCE and doing research and creative projects in general!

We'll continue to post additional details as they become available, including times and specific rooms for each event. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have questions!
