Ron Erickson

Ron Erickson has more than 35 years of experience as a manager, attorney, and senior-level executive leading technology enterprises in the global marketplace.

He has been instrumental in building several businesses, serving as a founder, senior executive, board member or advisor.  He is Founder and Chairman of Know Labs, Inc. a molecular sensor company that has invented a technology that non-invasively ascertains blood glucose levels.  Previously, Erickson was a co-founder, chairman and CEO of Blue Frog Mobile, Inc., a mobile media and entertainment company.  Mr. Erickson previously served as chairman and CEO of eCharge Corporation an Internet-based transaction processing company.  He was a co-founder and chairman and CEO GlobalTel Resources, a telecommunications networking company. 

Prior to that, Mr. Erickson served as chairman, interim president and CEO, vice chairman and director of Egghead Software, Inc., a company in which he was an original investor.  Mr. Erickson also co-founded Microrim, Inc., a developer of the relational database, RBase.  He is an active angel investor and has served as board member of several public and private companies.

Early in his career he engaged in public policy work at the White House, the Rockefeller Commission on Critical Choices in New York City and at the Office of Economic Opportunity.

In addition to his current executive position, Mr. Erickson is also chairman of the Board of Kalytera Therapeutics, Inc. a biopharma company working on a CBD therapeutic to prevent and treat Graft versus Host Disease (GvHD).

Mr. Erickson is a graduate of Ellensburg High School, near where his family homesteaded in 1876.   He has a BA from Central Washington University, an MA from the University of Wyoming, and a JD from the University of California, Davis. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Washington. 

He is an age-group triathlete with Ironman and Half Ironman finishes, and races vintage sports cars (1967 Porsche and 1957 Corvette).  Mr. Erickson lives on Bainbridge Island, WA with his wife, Dia Armenta.

His second, six-year term on the CWU Board of Trustees will continue through September 2021.
