Current Transfer Students
The Wildcat Transfer community is large and successful, and the Transfer Center wants to help each and every transfer student to be successful!
Most transfer students are required to attend an orientation at whatever campus they plan to attend. These orientations are created to support your transition and help you build upon the strong foundation you’ve already built.
Hang out at the Transfer Lounge (Ellensburg)
Relax and unwind on our comfy couches, make use of our computers, make a cup of tea or a bag of popcorn, or charge your devices. Bouillon 210 is a place for transfer students to hang out, connect, and recharge.
On the Ellensburg campus, this week full of fun and helpful events prior to the start of classes in September helps students connect to campus and each other. Transfer Center peer ambassadors spearhead groups to attend certain events each day.
At the Centers, the Welcome events happen during the first week of classes and also offer fun and engaging ways for Center students to connect.
CWU Transfer Newsletter
A regular electronic newsletter goes out to first- and second-quarter transfer students, summarizing upcoming events and ways to get connected.
Peer Mentor Appointments
The Transfer Center peer mentors are available to answer your questions, help you find resources, and be as successful as possible. They’re transfer students who have walked a mile in your shoes! Sign up for your Zoom appointment today!
Students sometimes transfer to CWU before they have finished an associate’s degree and only later discover that it would have been advantageous for their general education requirements to have finished it. They can apply to do a reverse transfer, using credits completed at CWU to satisfy their final associate’s degree requirements.
