Patrick Dizney, MFA

PATRICK DIZNEY (Assistant Professor) MFA University of Washington, SAG/AFTRA, AEA member, spent 6 years acting in NYC, and continues to work as an actor and director throughout the region. Credits include prime time television, national commercials, industrials, children’s theatre, two national tours, Off and Off-Off Broadway, feature and independent film, and Regional theatre. He also wrote, produced and performed in his one person show Inveigler on Theatre Row in NYC. His directing credits include: Polaroid Stories, 36 Views, Romeo and Juliet, The Diviners, The Foreigner, Fiddler on the Roof, Circle Mirror Transformation, Meatgrinder Waltz (at 13th Street Rep in NYC), If Dreams Came True by Mark Kuntz (original work), and Convention by Dan Ericson (also original work). Acting roles include: Henry in Lion in Winter, Vershinen in Pultizer Prize winner Tracy Lett’s world premier adaptation of The Three Sisters, Kenny in Theatre District (world premier) by Richard Kramer of TV fame, Father Flynn in Doubt, Joe in Becky’s New Car, Prospero in The Tempest, Charlie in The Foreigner, Starbuck in The Rainmaker among others. Dizney has recently been appointed as Chair of the Kennedy Center American Theatre Festival's Region VII.
