CHRISTINA BARRIGAN (Professor and Department Chair) earned her B.A. in Theatre from Grinnell College, and an M.F.A in Design and Technology from the University of Texas at Austin. Christina Barrigan is currently Chair for the Theatre Arts Department where she is also a resident teaching artist offering her talents as a lighting, scenic, and media designer specializing in design for dance and new works. Her professional work includes collaborations with the Actors' Theatre of Louisville, Village Theatre, B Street Theatre, Wyoming Theatre Festival and has been seen nationally in Washington, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, South Carolina, Texas, Wyoming, and internationally in Costa Rica and Mexico. Christina’s service has included many years on the SOURCE committee, regional leadership within the United State Institute for Theatre Technology, and the Family Readiness Group for the 1st Battalion, 413th Regiment in Vancouver, WA. An avid hiker and photographer, she figures after living in Ellensburg for the last 20 years, she can finally consider herself a Central Washingtonian.
