Parking on Campus


All visitors must purchase a $6.00 virtual daily parking permit to park on campus. You may purchase this permit from the kiosk in lot G-16 where visitors are required to park. The kiosk will ask for your exact license plate because we use License Plate Reader technology to confirm your vehicle has a permit. Alternatively, you can purchase a permit online. Next, click on “create one” to create a guest account and then log in with your newly created username and password. You may create an account any time before your visit, but do not purchase the virtual permit until the day you plan to visit campus. Daily virtual permits are only valid on the date they are purchased. Permits are virtual, so there is no physical permit to place in your vehicle. Parking is available near Bouillon Hall in the following lots:

  • Lot G-16: Recommended visitor parking lot. Requires parking pass, available for purchase at lot entrance or online.
  • Lot E-13: Free 30-minute parking, located behind Bouillon Hall.

Guests are required to purchase a daily parking permit to park on campus. Visit CWU Parking Services website for more information.

Written Directions to CWU Testing Services

The following directions will lead you to Central Washington test center:
  • Directions from Seattle

    • Take I-90 East to Ellensburg, exit #106.
    • Go straight through the roundabout on to University Way. Continue on University way to the traffic light at Chestnut Street.
    • Turn left at the light and you may either be dropped off in the 30-minute lot on your left (E-13), or if you need to park a vehicle, go right on 9th Avenue, enter lot G-16 (student lot, 2nd driveway on left) and pay for parking pass at the kiosk.

  • Directions from Spokane

    • Take I-90 West to Ellensburg, exit #109.
    • Make a right off the exit ramp and follow Canyon Road/Main Street to University Way.
    • Turn right on University Way and drive about five blocks to the light at Chestnut Street.
    • Turn left at the light and you may either be dropped off in the 30-minute lot on your left (E-13), or if you need to park a vehicle, go right on 9th Avenue, enter lot G-16 (student lot, 2nd driveway on left) and pay for parking pass at the kiosk.

  • Directions from Yakima

    • Take I-82 North to I-90 West.
    • Take the first exit #109.
    • Make a right off the exit ramp and follow Canyon Road/Main Street to University Way.
    • Turn right on University Way and drive about five blocks to the light at Chestnut Street.
    • Turn left at the light and you may either be dropped off in the 30-minute lot on your left (E-13), or if you need to park a vehicle, go right on 9th Avenue, enter lot G-16 (student lot, 2nd driveway on left) and pay for parking pass at the kiosk.

  • Directions from Wenatchee

    • Take US-97 South over Blewett pass and follow signs to Ellensburg.
    • Take a left at the roundabout onto University Way
    • Follow University Way to the light at Chestnut Street.
    • Turn left at the light and you may either be dropped off in the 30-minute lot on your left (E-13), or if you need to park a vehicle, go right on 9th Avenue, enter lot G-16 (student lot, 2nd driveway on left) and pay for parking pass at the kiosk.
