Adrienne Pinsoneault moved to Ellensburg in June 2020 from San Jose, California where she taught high school biology and chemistry for six years. Before that, she taught English classes at a public high school in Panguipulli, Chile and worked in an after school program at a community center in the Bay Area. Adrienne's interest in education was sparked by work at the community center, where she worked with many students who were excluded from our education system due to systemic injustices. This motivated Adrienne to return to school and receive her Master’s in science education so that she could work to fight against some of the injustices that she had seen. She remains interested in equity in science courses and how to create meaningful change in systems through teacher leadership. |
