The Department of Education, Development, Teaching and Learning (EDTL) at Central Washington University is accepting applications to fill future part-time lecturer positions to teach teacher education classes.

Generalists and specialists are needed for most programs. Instructors specializing in curriculum development and elementary-level methods and content areas are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in education or a related field. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness. Four (4) years or more of K-8 classroom teaching experience.
 

Desirable Qualifications

National Board Certification. Working knowledge of Constructivist learning. EdTPA knowledge. Experience in instructional coaching or professional development of peers. Demonstrated success in classroom innovation and/or classroom-based research.

  3.  An unofficial copy of transcripts for the highest degree held.  Prior to hiring, applicants must submit an official copy.
     
  4.  A cover letter addressing the following:
  • Your qualifications and experience for the position
  • Your availability (e.g., only after 4pm; only 1 course per quarter).
  • Your location and closest CWU Campus (Ellensburg, Des Moines, Pierce, Wenatchee or Yakima) or interest to teach exclusively online
  • Your knowledge and experience in online teaching/learning and whether you know how to use the Canvas classroom management system
