• EDBL 514 – Introduction to Linguistic Diversity in Education 3 credits

• EDBL 529 – Methods of Teaching ESL: History, Theories, and Materials 3 credits

Fall Quarter Offering

• EDBL 530 – Sheltering in the Mainstream I: Methods 3 credits

Winter Quarter Offering

• EDBL 518 – Studies and Problems in Educational Linguistics 3 credits

• EDBL 531 – Sheltering in the Mainstream II: Assessment and Resources 3 credits

Spring Quarter Offering

• EDBL 550 – Advanced Literacy Development with Linguistically Diverse Students 3 credits

English Language Learner Endorsement Courses

Enrollment Procedure

Please click on the links below to enroll in the ELL Endorsement Courses. Please remember that these courses are online. Two of the links will have a $40.00 application fee.

CWU Non-matriculated Application

Endorsement-Only Application

 Application

This form is for admission to Central Washington University as a non-matriculated student. This implies that you are not seeking a degree from CWU at this time. If you are planning on using these courses for a graduate degree at CWU, please contact your graduate advisor and you will be directed in how to apply as a matriculated student. $40.00 Application fee payable with tuition.

This form enrolls you in the teacher certification endorsement system. It is used to monitor your progress and to report your completion to the state certification office. This link takes you to the application form. There will be a second form to complete after you have completed the courses and passed the test. There is a $40.00 application fee due with the application. Please move the webpage down until you see “Step 1” under the “Ready to Apply…” Section.

This form provides basic information to faculty and staff. Also, include information about any previous coursework that might be used to substitute for required coursework. No fees.
