Job Description: 
Wine Bar Sales Associate MISSION STATEMENT Swiftwater Cellars is the ultimate destination within a destination nestled in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State just over an hour East of Seattle. We promise the customer's experience will exceed their expectations beginning with the moment they enter our doors to when they walk out our doors. Our facility offers private event venues, fine dining in the Hoist House Restaurant, wine tasting of the Swiftwater Cellars brands, and golf on the Rope Rider Golf Course- all within a 45,000 sq foot facility overlooking a championship golf course and Cascade Mountains. The efforts of every staff member of the Swiftwater Cellars family is dedication and genuine commitment to providing each customer with individual attention making them feel indulged with every experience they share with their guests. Our tasting room also serves as a wine bar. Therefore, in addition to possessing the skills necessary to supervise a traditional tasting room, the successful candidate for this position will have strong hospitality and food service skills as well, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure all visitors are greeted and walk away with a positive and memorable experience • Pour wine, provide wine education, and winery history • Conduct winery tours and tastings • Promote and execute strategies to sell wine and wine club memberships • Accurately process transactions using a POS computer system • Perform daily cleaning and facility maintenance duties • Wash and polish glassware •Provide excellent customer service and ensure that needs are addressed in a timely and efficient manner consistent with the company's policies and procedures • Other duties as assigned by Manager PREFERRED EXPERIENCE • Tasting room & restaurant experience • Experience with winery software • Demonstrated ability to facilitate wine sales and wine club membership recruitment REQUIREMENTS • Must be articulate, hard-working, self-motivated, and above all, must enjoy working with the public • Must be very social, and enjoy dealing with many different kinds of people doing what is needed to ensure customer satisfaction • Love and appreciation for high quality wine • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Skills to operate a point of sale system • Required to work various shifts, weekends, and some holidays • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to lift and stack boxes and cases of wine on a consistent basis (45 lbs and more)
