The online Population Health Specialization provides a solid background in the field of public health and offers a broad range of courses that can be tailored to a student's interest in health. Population Health Specialization prepares students for graduate study or career work with a variety of populations and health issues. Understanding issues and situations that harm people’s potential for health, wellbeing, and quality of life enables public health professionals to develop effective strategies to improve outcomes.

This specialization requires 66 core credits and 24 electives in which students can explore their specific areas of interest (mental health, drugs and health, sexual health, policy, advocacy, child and maternal health, environmental health, health administration, and more)
