Bridging Student Wins Outstanding Poster Presentation Award

STEP Bridging Student Susana Camacho Plascencia won an Outstanding Poster Presentation Award at CWU's 2017 Symposium on University Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE). This year, Susana has been working in the Chemistry lab of Dr. Todd Kroll, investigating how to test for protein interactions and clone fragments of DNA coding for a protein into a plasmid. Her poster is entitled, "Using Yeast Two-Hybrid to Test the Interactions of Emx2 with QKI-5, QKI-6, and QKI-7." Susana will continue to work in Dr. Kroll's lab this summer, participating in the College of the Science's Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE). Congratulations, Susana!!!
