Personal Philosophy of Advising:
Reflecting on my personal experiences on the academic field as a student, I can relate to students with many of the aspects of their transitioning to a college life. Having to transition socially and culturally, my college experience was one full of challenges every step of the way. That is why I thrive on providing support to students who are facing academic hardships, creating an action plan focused on the student's academic success.
Providing an atmosphere of welcoming and respect it is as important for me as advising itself. I see my students as valued members of the Wildcat Community with a unique set of characteristics, and I respect each of their goals, thoughts, ambitions, and interests.
I will always encourage my students to make informed decisions about their academic interests and goals, and connect them to the right resources on campus once they are ready to declare their major.
