Social Justice & Human Rights (SJHR) Dialogues are strengthened and enriched by contributions from across the university. Faculty are encouraged to find ways to integrate their curriculum, where possible, with the annual dialogue theme. 

Planning to host a public event that supports the current theme and desire its promotion under SJHR? 

Contact Us - Contact one of the executive committee members about your event. Ideally, events to be listed under the SJHR Dialogues will be requested two months prior to the quarter start date. This will allow time for the event's inclusion in HYPE magazine, posters and other promotional materials to be produced, and the reviewing of funding requests (optional).

There are two types of requests:

• Submit a Funding Request (Word Form) - Funding assistance may be available for your event. The funding request priority deadline is at least two (2) months prior to your event. However, all completed funding requests will be considered regardless of the submission date. Each event may request up to $2,000 of matching funds. Organizers are also encouraged to collaborate with other departments to leverage their resources.
• Tell Us About Your Event - Email one of our committee members if you have an event to share. Please contact them at least two (2) weeks prior to your event. We will use the information to include your event on the web calendar, post the SJHR logo on your marketing materials, and be apart of our yearly reporting.

Once your request has been approved, we will work together to have your promotional materials created, event published on the SJHR web calendar, and include the SJHR logo on all of your marketing materials.
