Jamie Schademan

        Jamie Schademan

        Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Jamie Schademan, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), has extensive professional experience in the fields of Information Technology, Information Security, Compliance and Privacy Management.  Jamie began her career at CWU in the IT department in the 1990’s, filling a number of technical and leadership roles for the organization, before finding her passion for Information Security. As the CISO, Jamie is responsible for overseeing the university information security and privacy activities. Jamie has a Master’s degree in both Information Technology and Cyber Security Management, as well as her Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA, and holds a Certificate of Law in CyberSecurity and Privacy, from Mitchell Hamline Law School.  As a CWU alumni she is also a proud Wildcat!




     Kellon Benson

   Lead Security Analyst

Kellon Benson is the lead security analyst for Central Washington University. Kellon, graduated with a B.S in Information Technology and Administrative Management with a specialization in Cybersecurity from Central Washington University (CWU). Kellon began IT work at the CWU Service Desk as a student and shortly after was an intern for Information Security Services. In 2016, Kellon was hired as a security analyst where his responsibilities include incident response, digital forensics, network security monitoring, penetration testing, policy and procedure writing, risk assessment, security awareness training, and security provisioning. Kellon also currently holds the GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) and GIAC Forensic Examiner (GCFE) certifications.





  Genevieve Fjellstad

Security Analyst

Genevieve Fjellstad is a security analyst for Central Washington University. Genevieve graduated with a B.S. in Information Technology and Administrative Management with a specialization in Cybersecurity from CWU in Spring of 2019. She began her IT journey in Computer Support Services and then was hired on as the student intern within Information Security Services.






Connor Hilburn

Student Employee

Connor Hilburn is a student in Information Technology and Administrative Management (ITAM) with a specialization in Cybersecurity. Additionally, he is pursuing a minor in Digital Forensics and Incident Response. Connor is a student ambassador for the department and has also studied abroad with ITAM. Connor is the President of the Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking Club for the 2019-2020 school year.







Alexander Salazar

Student Employee

Alexander Salazar is a Security Services Intern within Information Security Services. He is an Information Technology and Administrative Management major specializing in Cybersecurity and minoring in Military Science. He is an Army Veteran having spent 5 years on Active Duty and currently serving in the National Guard. Originally from California, he has fallen in love with the PNW and Central Washington. He looks forward to working with the CWU community!
