Phi Kappa Phi Ruth Bird Undergraduate Scholarship


The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective all-discipline honor society. Central Washington University's chapter of Phi Kappa Phi was chartered on September 13, 1975. Membership is by invitation only to the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students and the top 7.5 percent of juniors. The Society's mission is "to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others."

Application Process: 

Complete the General Scholarship Application through your MyCWU Account by February 1st and complete your FAFSA by February 1st.

Supplemental Materials Required: 
  •  A 500 word essay describing how your academic interests will serve your career goals after you earn your undergraduate degree.
  • Official transcripts from any college or university you attended before CWU.
  • Three letters of recommendation from university professors.
  • Additional materials must be uploaded to your General Scholarship Application by February 1st.
