ESL Everyday Dialogues and Discussions - A

Fee: $199, total of 8 sessions

This intermediate level course is designed to develop conversational skills necessary to function in American society. Lessons will focus on specific topics important for everyday life in the United States, introducing and expanding relevant vocabulary, with an emphasis on key phrases and idiomatic expressions used in each setting. Students will be encouraged to practice sample dialogues and participate in role plays using target language.

Lessons in this class will focus on the following topics:

  • Calling 9-1-1: Handling medical emergencies
  • Social Life: Accepting and declining invitations; Making weekend plans; Recreation
  • Banking and Money: Going to the bank; Saying and writing numbers; Minimum wage reading and discussion
