Research and Sponsored Programs 

Central Washington University’s (CWU) Research and Sponsored Programs, a division of the School of Graduate Studies and Research, is dedicated to working with faculty and staff to increase externally-funded research, scholarly activities, and other sponsored projects.

Successful proposals require appropriate planning. Please submit a pre-proposal approval form and the required attachments two weeks prior to proposal deadline. For more information, click here.

Research and Sponsored Programs staff offer the following services to faculty and staff:

  • Identify and disseminate external funding opportunity information;
  • Provide assistance with proposal and budget development and preparation (such as proposal consultation, guidelines interpretation, proposal and forms review, and development/review of project budgets);
  • Serve as liaison on pre-submission/pre-award matters between the funding sponsor and the individual applicant;
  • Oversee the process for obtaining institutional approval for external support and transmitting proposals to funding sponsors.
