August 2019 - External Grants & Contracts Awarded

Research & Sponsored Programs and Foundation Relations would like to announce the recipients of the following grants and contracts that were awarded in August 2019. Below are this month’s awardees:

  • Carol Carrothers, College of Education and Professional Studies, received $158,750 from the Washington Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth for Disability Services, 2019-20.
  • Steve Cook and Matthew Zielsdorf, International Studies and Programs, received $2,600 from University Studies Abroad Consortium for Senior Study Abroad Advisor.
  • Anne Egger, Geology, received an additional $8,211 from the National Association of Geoscience Teachers for Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Geoscience Education.
  • Anne Johansen, Chemistry, received an additional $9,800 from the National Park Service for Monitoring Precipitation Chemistry and Atmospheric Deposition at a High-Elevation Site in Mount Rainier National Park.
  • Anne Johansen, Chemistry, received $180,662 from the National Science Foundation for IPA Appointment - Program Director of Atmospheric Chemistry Program.
  • Timothy Melbourne, Geology, received $474,125 from the U.S. Geological Survey for Year 1 of Production ShakeAlert Real-Time GNSS.
