Aspiring and amateur powerlifters both are encouraged to come test out their strength at the Aaron Harrison Memorial Powerlifting Competition Sunday, Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Recreation Center Weight Room. A $25 entry fee and registration forms are due to the CWU Recreation Center front desk by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4.The competition will consist of a dead lift and bench press in several weight classes.
Winners will be awarded based on weight class.
A non-denominational memorial service for departed University Recreation employee and CWU student Aaron Harrison will be held at 10 a.m. on the morning of the competition, where friends and family will share remembrances.
