This is a great opportunity for the students to enhance their portfolios, while providing another outlet to promote campus events.

Self-proclaimed road warrior and comedian Ronnie Jordan is no stranger to long treks across the country in the name of a performance. He visits comedy clubs, sold out stadiums and everywhere in-between — and this week he’s bringing his “southern” style of stand-up comedy to Ellensburg.

Poet Bob Holman screening ‘Language Matters’ at CWU

Emmy Award winning producer and spoken-word poet Bob Holman is on a mission to protect and preserve the world’s languages for future generations. His forthcoming documentary film, “Language Matters,” airing nationally on PBS in January, brings light to the issue of language endangerment and how language extinction affects global cultures.

Author visiting Central Tuesday for lecture

Sampsell's inventive and daring writing has led to his publication of a collection of short stories, a memoir, a novel and essays in publications such as The Rumpus and McSweeney’s. Sampsell will speak at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Central Washington University’s Wildcat Shop as part of the Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series.

Reel Rock Film Tour rolls through Central
