The CWU Wellness Center is celebrating National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week by unveiling their “Take the Lead: Be a DD” program, which rewards those who choose to stay sober and be a designated driver.
From Oct. 13 through 20, the Wellness Center will hand out free wristbands that feature the slogan, “Take the Lead: Be a DD” at their office in SURC 139. When a wristband is presented at participating establishments around Ellensburg—The Palace, Shooters 2.0 and the Iron Horse Brewery— the designated driver will be given a free incentive. The incentives vary, depending on the establishment, but will typically include non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.
