All psychology majors and minors take a common set of core courses.  Check out our small (45 credits) and large-plan (60 credits) majors as well as our psychology minor.  The online major and minor are only available to students who do not live near the Ellensburg campus.

Admission Requirements to the Psychology Major:

• Completion of PSY 101 with a grade of C or higher
• A cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher in college coursework.  
• Online psychology major applicants must have also earned at least 90 college-level credits

BIOL 101, 182, or 201 are highly recommended but not required for admission.

All students should complete PSY 200 Introduction to the Major in the quarter after they are admitted to the major.

• Email the completed application to psychology@cwu.edu. You will receive a return email that tells you whether or not you have been admitted.
• If you were not admitted, the email will explain what you need to do to have your application approved.
• If your application was approved, you will receive the name and contact information for your psychology faculty advisor. We recommend that you contact your advisor so that they can answer questions and discuss recommendations for courses you should take.
