Andreas Bohman
Vice President of Operations 

Andreas Bohman was appointed to lead the Operations Division in 2018 after serving as the university’s Chief Information Security Officer for five years.  Andreas brings more than 20 years of leadership and management experience to the position. Bohman, who is an officer in the Washington State National Guard, holds a master of science degree in information assurance from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. He teaches classes on cybersecurity in the Department of Information Technology Administrative Management (ITAM) and is nationally certified at the highest levels of information and cybersecurity.


Kandee Cleary
Vice President of Inclusivity & Diversity

Delores “Kandee” Cleary has led the Diversity and Inclusivity efforts of CWU since 2010, helping the university to earn five HEED awards as well as recognition from Campus Pride as one of the top LGBTQ-friendly schools in the nation. The former chair of the Department of Sociology, Kandee holds BA/BS Sociology from CWU and an MA/Ph.D. from Washington State University.


Lynn Franken
Interim Provost / Vice President of Academic and Student Life

Franken holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Texas in Austin. She also earned her BA and MA in English from Texas Tech. Dr. Franken was most recently the  VIce President for Acedemic Affairs/Dean of the College at Thiel College. She has also served as Vice President for Academic Affairs/Dean of the College at Berloit College and as Dean of the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts at Coastal Carolina University.


Josh Hibbard
Interim Vice President of Enrollment Management

Josh Hibbard has served as Interim Vice President of the division of Enrollment Management since August, 2019. Josh formerly was the associate Vice President for Admissions and Enrollment. He is the former Admissions Manager at Azuza Pacific, where he also earned his PhD in Higher Education Administration as well as his Master’s Degree in Social Sciences.


Kremiere Jackson
Vice President of Public Affairs

Kremiere Jackson brings more than 20 years of communications experience to the leadership of marketing, issue management and communications. She is a former marketing curriculum architect, program manager, and public relations specialist at Microsoft Corporation, where she helped drive news coverage for the software company and worked closely with company executives Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer to expand key messaging strategies and personal appearances. Additionally, she previously served as media relations liaison for Puget Sound Energy. Prior to that she was named Washington state Manager of the Year in her capacity as an agency communications director. Her background also include commercial radio and television news development.


Joel Klucking
Chief Financial Officer / Vice President of Business and Financial Affairs

Joel Klucking has served as Chief Financial Officer since February 2016. An Ellensburg native and 1990 CWU Accounting program alumnus of CWU, Klucking worked for Starbucks Coffee Company for more than 17 years, where most recently he managed the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program and ran the day-to-day operations of internal audit for the company. Returning to CWU 2011, Klucking served as finance manager for the President’s Division, and later added the CWU Foundation operations to his role. He was subsequently named associate vice president of Finance & Business Auxiliaries where he was responsible for financial services, business services, procurement and contracts, the Wildcat Shop, dining services, catering, conference programs and Wildcat printing.


Rick Paradis
Interim Vice President of University Advancement and Interim DIrector of the CWU Foundation

Rick Paradis worked within the corporate sector in the financial services industry, where he honed extensive analytical skills in developing strategic plans and identifying promising fundraising opportunities. Later, he was at the forefront in major gifts and prospect management and research at Drew University. He worked as a development consultant for a variety of non-profit and higher education entities, eventually migrating west, as the head of fundraising and development at Eastern Oregon University. He currently oversees a staff of 34 in University Advancement, and the Central Washington University Foundation. 


Linda Schactler
Chief of Staff

Linda Schactler has served as Chief of Staff for the Office of the President and Secretary to the Board of Trustees since 2014. Prior to that she was the Vice President of Public Affairs. She brings more than 30 years of experience in crisis and issue management, and Washington state budget and public policy development. She ran her own public affairs firm in Olympia Washington, where other positions included Deputy Director of the Higher Education Coordinating Board, and Director of Communications for the Washington State Senate.
