  1. Presentations
    1. BFA/Work Flows/E-PAF - Bill Vertrees
      Wendy Rittereiser gave a presentation on the new electronic employment records and e-PAF systems. Many folks have been working on these systems for several months and they will be rolled out soon. The employment reports will be available by the end of January. ePAF is currently moving from development to testing, and implementation is set for mid-March.
    2. Student Conduct - Richard DeShields
      Richard DeShields gave a presentation on CWU's Student Conduct code. The purpose of the student conduct process is to: establish expectations of students by creating the responsibilities all students will be required to follow and providing rights for all students; provide due process where students can understand their rights and responsibilities in a timely, fair and consistent manner; and provide response to negative student behaviors and coordinate responses for the university in partnership with the university community. Students are accountable to the code whether they live on or off campus. Richard serves as the coordinator of the Student Conduct Code. Several groups help in the process here at the Ellensburg campus and at the University Centers. Those groups include: the Problem Solving Team, hearing officers, and the student conduct council. All members of the CWU community can report "Behaviors of Concern" on the CWU Intranet. Richard is available to attend department meetings to give this presentation.     1. Approval of PAC Minutes from December 1, 2010
      Motion to approve the PAC Minutes from December 1, 2010 as presented by Sherer Holter. Seconded by Matt Cziske. No further discussion. Motion carried.
  4. University Policies to Recommend for Approval
    1. CWUP 2-60-170 Tuition Waiver Committee - Wayne Quirk
      Sherer Holter recommended PAC endorsement of this committee change pending a small revision regarding ex-officio membership. Seconded by Kirk Johnson. Presidential approval 1.5.11.

Other Announcements:

Wayne Quirk reported that the presidents and provosts will be in Olympia next week testifying regarding the budget.

Kirk Johnson suggested that upcoming MLK events be displayed on the CWU Intranet page. He added that the current exhibit at the Museum of Culture and Environment "Guns, Furs, & Steel: Alexander Ross at the Crossroads" ends Saturday, January 15. The next exhibit "Sacred Spaces" opens February 3, 2011. This exhibit tells the story of petroglyphs on Whale Island, a place that is sacred for Wanapum people but is now submerged by the Columbia River.

Sandy Colson reminded the group that tickets are still available for Enrique Morones. He will be on campus Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 7:30 PM in the Music Building Concert Hall to give his presentation titled, "Border Angels, Border Realities, and Immigration Today."

Sherer Holter reported that the President's State of the University Address is Tuesday, January 11 at 2:00 PM in the SURC Theatre. The address will also be video streamed.

Connie Lambert reported that the College of Education Speaker Series kicks off on Monday, January 10 at 4:00 PM in Black Hall room 151 with presentation by Debbie Haskell and Delaney Lafond titled, "Climb to the Top: How a trail restoration project impacts students, teachers, and the community."

Richard DeShields reported that the demolition of Barto Hall starts the beginning of February.
