Pumpkin Drop/Trashcano
Decoration and Submission Day

Come join us on Saturday Oct. 29th to decorate and submit pumpkins for the 2022 Pumpkin Drop! Event will be held at Central Washington University campus, between 2pm-4pm in DISC 302.

Pumpkins will be available for purchase, and decoration supplies will be provided.

Want to decorate your own pumpkin, on your own time? Go for it! Bring in your decorated pumpkin, fill out a registration form, and pay the submission fee by 5pm on the 29th to ensure it’ll be tossed off the roof at the Pumpkin Drop/Trashcano event, Oct. 30th.

After you’ve given your pumpkin a fresh face, tell us its story by writing a short backstory (100 words maximum). This story will be read out for the audience before the pumpkin plummets to its doom!

Pumpkins must be submitted with a complete registration form and backstory. Registration forms will be provided on the 29th, and are also available online at https://www.cwu.edu/physics/PumpkinDrop.

Pumpkins will be judged based on the following categories:

• Loudest Splat - determined by decibel meter
• Best decorated – the pumpkin receiving the most votes

Prizes: $100 to first place, $50 to second place, $25 to third place.
