Six Wildcats Earn All-Region Honors With NCAA Outdoor Championship On Horizon

The Central Washington University track and field team will send four athletes (one man, three women) to Allendale, MI., for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships to be held on May 25.

Representing the women's team will be Erin Chinchar, Dani Eggleston, and McKenna Emmert.

Eggleston and Chinchar will be competing in the steeplechase as their respective times of 10:31.65 and 10:42.69 were good enough to qualify the tandem 12th and 20th respectively.

Emmert will compete in pole vault and is going into the national meet ranked 12th with a school record vault of 3.83 meters.

Kevin Stanley will be the lone male Wildcat at nationals. Stanley is coming off his second-consecutive GNAC title in the hammer throw and enters the national meet ranked 17th with a best throw of 59.17 meters, which is a school record.

With the conclusion of the outdoor season and two third place finishes at the GNAC Championships last weekend from the men's and women's teams, comes postseason accolades.
