Four Earn NSCAA Scholar All-West Honors


Four Central Washington University soccer players earned selections to the 2016 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Women's Scholar All-West Region Team, the organization announced.

Allie Bohnett (3.67, Education), Keilin Farrand (3.8, Biology/Spanish), Whitney Lowe (3.35, Education), and Mackenzie Nolte (3.61, Psychology) all earned selections to the team.

Bohnett finished first amongst outfield players in minutes played (1,758), scored one goal, and tallied four assists.  She helped anchor a back line that held opponents to just over one goal per game.  Bohnett earned GNAC First Team, D2CCA All-West Region Second Team, and GNAC Academic All-Conference honors.

Farrand scored five goals, and dished out six assists, for 16 points during her senior campaign.  She finished the year tied for the team lead in points, while finishing seventh in the GNAC.  She finished second in the GNAC in assists.  Farrand earned GNAC Frist Team, D2CCA All-West Region Second Team, GNAC Academic All-Conference, and the Wildcats' first-ever CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.

Nolte led the Wildcats with seven goals.  She added two assists to tie for the team lead in points with 16.  Nolte finished the year tied for fifth in the GNAC in goals.  She earned GNAC First Team, D2CCA All-West Region Second Team, and GNAC Academic All-Conference honors.

Lowe finished the year with four goals, and four assists, for 12 points.  She tallied twice against Seattle Pacific in the opening round of the West Regionals, in which the Wildcats won 2-1.  Lowe earned GNAC Second Team and GNAC Academic All-Conference honors.

The Wildcats finished the 2016 campaign 14-6-1, including their first appearance and win at the NCAA West Regionals.  They set a record for most regular season wins with 13.
