Five CWU Commencement Ceremonies Planned Saturday at 9 a.m.

CWU Class of 2021!

Another academic year has come to a close, and it’s time for Central Washington University to celebrate our distinguished Class of 2021.

More than 3,000 new graduates will be honored Saturday, June 12, when CWU hosts a virtual Commencement ceremony beginning at 9 a.m.

This year’s presentation will be broken down into five separate ceremonies — College of the Sciences, College of Arts and Humanities, College of Educational and Professional Services, College of Business, and the School of Graduate Studies and Research — and it will be available to the public for viewing.

Each ceremony will feature addresses from the administration — including President-emeritus James L. Gaudino, Board of Trustees Chairman Ron Erickson, Provost Michelle DenBeste — along with a student speaker from each college. In addition, each of the graduates’ names will be announced during the proceedings.

Links to each ceremony will be provided at cwu.edu/commencement on Saturday morning.

The virtual Commencement was developed in partnership with StageClip, a national company that specializes in virtual ceremonies. Through the StageClip platform, every CWU graduate has been given the opportunity to customize their name slides during the ceremony, as well as upload photos, videos, and personal messages.

CWU looks forward to celebrating the Class of 2021 while prioritizing the health and safety of our community. While the ceremony will be virtual again this year, Central has worked to create a memorable commencement experience for our graduates and their families, both near and far.

If you would like to know more about Saturday’s celebration, see the FAQs on the Commencement page.
