CWU's Central Theatre Ensemble Receives 2015 Best of Ellensburg Award
The Central Theatre Ensemble has been selected for the 2015 Best of Ellensburg Award in the Theater category by the Ellensburg Award Program.
Long recognized as a theatre powerhouse in the region, Central Washington University's CTE recently hosted the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, where Scott Robinson, theatre arts professor and chair, received a second Gold Medallion of Excellence. It is the most prestigious regional award given by KCACTF and is one of the great honors in theatre education. CWU is the only public institution to offer the only Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre in the Northwest.
This year, the CTE will begin its season with the ever popular Red Curtain Broadway Revue on November 19.
Each year, the Ellensburg Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Ellensburg area a great place to live, work and play.
