Today at noon: 'A Field Guide to Climate Anxiety' book discussion
Do you feel overwhelmed, anxious, powerless, and hopeless when you think about the scope and scale of the climate crisis? Then join us in reading and discussing Sarah Jaquette Ray's book A Field Guide to Climate Anxiety: How to Keep Your Cool on a Warming Planet. Combining insights from psychology, sociology, social movements, mindfulness, and the environmental humanities, Ray explains why and how we need to let go of eco-guilt, resist burnout, and cultivate resilience while advocating for climate justice. A full text e-book can be downloaded from CWU Libraries.
- Tuesday, February 8th, 12pm-1pm, Zoom or Samuelson 103: we discuss the book in greater detail and identify small actions we can take to support the larger global movement for climate action.
