Generational Differences: Do they Impact Teaching and Learning?
Do Gen Xers learn differently than Gen Yers? Do they have different expectations and work ethics? Should we adjust our teaching and work strategies based on the generational makeup of our classes?
Come join us for an afternoon of thought, discussion, food, and drink as we learn about generational differences and how these differences could affect classroom instruction, academic advising, and other areas central to student success. Jenna Hyatt will get us started with a thought-provoking presentation which will be followed by a general discussion. At 5:00 pm we will retire to the Grupe Faculty Center for hors d’oeuvres and wine where the conversation will continue to evolve.
All faculty and staff are invited!
Date: Wednesday, November 20th.
Time & Place: Presentation: 3:30 – 5:00 in Black 150
Reception: 5:00 – 6:00 at the Grupe Faculty Center
