Brooks Library in Collaboration with the Office of International Studies Presents "First Six Weeks Plus a Muslim Perspective
At the Wellington Event Center on November 18th at 7:00 P.M. the Office of International Studies in collaboration with Brooks Library will present “First Six Weeks Plus a Muslim Perspective” a program presented by first year students discussing academic and transitional issues they typically face. A segment of the program will be devoted to students sharing their personal cultural stories, addressing issues on being a Muslim in America, and countering misconceptions of Islam held by individuals in the United States.
Brooks Library will have a special display of the Muslim Journey’s Collection of 25 books awarded by a grant to the library by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association on display in the lobby staffed by library personnel to answer questions.
