Virtual Parking Permits and Your License Plate
WHAT’S NEW WITH PARKING?
Our new virtual parking permit system is almost ready. Yeah! We have deeply appreciated your patience during this transition.
Wildcats will be able to order virtual permits online. For visitors, please direct them to our kiosks or the QR code on our new signs to get a virtual daily permit. As a reminder, permits are virtual so there is no physical hangtag.
WHAT CAN YOU DO RIGHT NOW?
To make the launch go smoothly, please log into the new system and CONFIRM THAT YOUR LICENSE PLATE AND VEHICLE DETAILS ARE ACCURATE.
To log in, go to our main Parking page at https://www.cwu.edu/parking/, select Click here for MyParking Portal, and log in using your CWU username and password.
Here’s a quick checklist to complete before buying a permit this fall:
- Confirm license plate accuracy of each vehicle listed under your current permit
- Confirm the plate state
- Add new vehicles by selecting PERMITS and then click on your current permit to add vehicles; if you do not have a permit, you can still add vehicles
- Remove vehicles from your existing permit
With existing permits and when you buy your virtual permit online, be sure to
ACTIVELY connect your vehicles to your permit.
The system will NOT automatically connect your vehicles to a permit.
Go to PERMITS/View Your Permits (at top)
> Select your permit
> Select Add Vehicles to Permit
HOW DOES THE LICENSE PLATE READER SYSTEM WORK?
Our License Plate Reader will scan your license plate numbers/letters to see if you have a current permit for the area. Fictitious or incomplete license plate entries that do not match your physical license plate may result in a citation. Yuck!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
Permits go on PRE-SALE online starting August 22, 2022.
This permit will not be active, even though it is virtual, until September 16, 2022.
