Microsoft Office Hours: SharePoint design

Thursday 11 am Online in the Public CWU M365 Office Hours team Weekly Office hours channel.

This week we will look at the SharePoint lookbook. A site Microsoft put together to give ideas how to layout your SharePoint site. Why do you need a SharePoint site? SharePoint sites were built to be intranets. They sit behind a login so you can be sure the people looking at them are people you know.

If you have things on your CWU website that are internal documents, instructions or information you want specifically for faculty staff or students SharePoint is a place to put that information.

Modern SharePoint sites and Teams can have guests, but a guest has to be added one by one and kind of the same thing it is still a known group of people who will be looking at what you post.

The CWU M365 Office Hours team is a public team. To join the CWU M365 Office Hours Public team click on the Join or create team from the team menu and join the team. You can always leave the team at any time.

The meetings are Thursdays at 11am held in the CWU M365 Office Hours, Weekly Office Hours channel and can be joined either by this link or jumping in the team and navigate to the Weekly Office Hours channel.

Meetings are usually short about 15-30 minutes, sometimes longer if there are questions. Meeting are informal with no perquisites or any knowledge expected. This touches Microsoft 365 apps, most often Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, but sometimes OneDrive, Bookings, OneNote, List, Planner, Stream, Sway and more.

Feel free to post question in the team, others may have the same question. Use @Nicole Burk when posting in the team if you want me to get a notification.
