On-Campus COVID Testing, Booster Shots Available to Students and Employees This Week

CWU Student Health Services will be offering three additional on-campus COVID-19 testing opportunities and one booster shot clinic this week to students and employees.
Each of the free testing clinics will be held in SURC room 140 and no appointment is necessary. Testing clinic dates and times are as follows:
- Tuesday, January 18, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Thursday, January 20, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The on-campus testing clinics are intended for students and employees who are symptom-free and have had close contacts with someone who is COVID-positive. Tests will be available to students on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students who are experiencing COVID symptoms should make an appointment at SHS (509-963-1881) weekdays between 8:40 to 10 a.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m. For CWU employees and students not on campus, the KVH COVID Testing Clinic at 716 E. Manitoba Ave. also offers testing weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
SHS also has scheduled a free booster shot clinic for both students and employees Friday, January 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in SURC room 137.
CWU and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) strongly encourage booster shots for anyone who received the two-shot regimen of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines at least five months ago. A booster is recommended after two months for those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
A number of pharmacies in Ellensburg are providing booster shots by appointment. Find a location near you by using the Washington Department of Health’s vaccine locator. COVID-19 booster shots also will be available to students at SHS on Wednesdays and Thursdays, by appointment, throughout winter quarter.
Please visit the Student Health Services Testing Clinic website for details about this week’s testing and booster clinics.
