Teresa Harbaugh began studying piano at age 5. She has a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance with a minor in voice and oboe from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition she studied accompanying classes during her undergraduate work.
She has a Master of Music Education degree in piano pedagogy from the University of Idaho.
As a T.A., she taught piano class there and again as an adjunct professor at the University of Alaska- Fairbanks and at the UAF summer fine arts camp. She has accompanied the Vandaleers touring choir at the University of Idaho and the select Choir of the North from the University of Alaska- Fairbanks. Her work also included accompanying solo masters and doctoral degree recitals at the University of North Texas and Indiana University. Her work in Washington includes playing for students that have won the Musicfest competition in Spokane, performing within the Yakima Symphony, and numerous student recitals at CWU. In addition she has maintained a private piano studio for over thirty years.
