The Central Washington University student chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (CWU SNATS) is a club focused on promoting vocal music.

As a club, we expand our vocal knowledge and gain singing experience by attending performances, hosting master classes and visiting clinicians, and providing performance opportunities.

CWU SNATS also strives to build unity amongst singers and to use vocal music in the community service opportunities to serve and better the Ellensburg and Central Washington University communities.

Every year members of the SNATS club participate and organize events including but not limited to:

  • Inland Empire NATS Auditions
  • Musicfest Northwest Competition
  • Workshops, Masterclasses and Clinicians
  • Trips to performances such as Seattle Opera and 5th Avenue Theatre
  • Bella Notte fundraiser and dinner
  • Musical Theatre Night

Bella Notte

Bella Notte is an annual fundraiser. It is held in downtown Ellensburg at Gallery One. The evening features student performances of Italian songs and arias with a fabulous Italian dinner.

The Musical Theatre Night is held in downtown Ellensburg at the Hal Holmes Community Center. Students perform various musical theater repertoire while the audience members enjoy desserts and beverages.
