Casa Patas, Flamenco of Madrid

Casa Patas brings a flamenco-style dance that expresses great emotion telling a story. Combining skillful musicianship and dance their performance is entertaining and thought provoking. Flamenco is said to be descended from the ancient dances of the Indian Hindus and arrived in Spain between 500-250 BC.

CWU Jazz Concerts - The CWU Music Department will present two concerts, one ticket will get you into both!

The Afternoon of Jazz concert (4:00pm) will feature Jazz Bands II & III and Vocal Jazz III performing memorable jazz standards and new material in the idiom. The Evening of Jazz concert (7:00pm) will feature the award-winning Vocal Jazz I and Jazz Band I performing their latest material featuring the fine soloists and strong ensemble presentations that Central is known for.

Symphony Orchestra Concert

The CWU Symphony Orchestra will present Rachmaninoff’s triumphant Symphonic Dances; John Adams’ playful foxtrot for orchestra, The Chairman Dances; and, a premiere of a new work from Professor of Composition Martin Kennedy.

Over the TOPera

Over-the-TOPera Concert - An innovative and fun evening of opera arias sprinkled with your favorite duets and ensembles performed by Central Washington University’s talented vocal students, faculty and even alumni! The concert will showcase the hard work students put into learning and perfecting operatic aria repertoire. “Victoria Nightingale” will be returning to host the event as the evening’s emcee. Be prepared for moments of hilarity and silliness interspersed with the gorgeous sound of these magnificent voices. All proceeds from the ticket sales will support future Central Washington University opera productions. Bring a friend or two!
