The Museum Advisory Council (MAC) is the immediate governing authority for the Museum of Culture and Environment within Central Washington University. As the governing authority for CWU, the University Board of Trustees is the ultimate governing authority. The MAC serves in an advisory capacity and is bound by the Museum Charter and Bylaws and well as the policies and procedures for collection management described in the Museum Collection Policy Manual. The museum staff is charged with carrying out the programmatic directives of the MAC.
Established in January 2009, the MAC is composed of nine voting members. The Museum Director serves in an ex-officio, non-voting capacity. The MAC has a diverse composition of CWU faculty and students as well as community and regional stakeholders.
