Antonio Moreno, nominated for his thesis, Modular Synthesis and Hydroalkylation of Vicinally Functionalized Ketopiperazines: A Solution to the Piperazine Problem, by committee chair Dr. Timothy Beng was chosen to recieve the 2019 Dale and Mary Jo Comstock Distinguished Thesis Award.
Moreno graduated spring quarter with a Master of Science degree in Chemistry, and also earned his Bachelor of Science from CWU.
Along with a check for $1,000, Moreno was honored at the Graduate Hooding and Commencement Ceremony and his thesis will be will be eligible to be nominated for the Western Association of Graduate Schools Distinguished Master’s Thesis Award.
