Center for Leadership and Community Engagement

Chavez-King Leadership Institute

Focusing on leadership through collective dialogue and service, the Chavez-King Leadership Institute at Central Washington University is committed to developing student leaders by means of experiential learning opportunities, exploration of real-world issues and continuous self-analysis and reflection.

Embracing the legacy and philosophy of civil rights activists, members will continue the vision of connecting leaders to their communities while broadening their knowledge base related to advocacy, policy and public support.

A $1000 need-based tuition waiver will be awarded to students accepted into the Institute.
