CWU LatinX Club
Meetings
Date/Time: Thursday's at 5pm
Location: SURC Room 135
The purpose of the CWU LatinX Club is to
1. Build Student Leadership
-Students will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills through the organizations office positions.
-Taking initiative to create change within the community.
-Participating and leading events organized by the club
2. Collaborations
-Students will be able to network with alumni and have guidance in their respective interest of major within the school.
-Reach out to and work with other student clubs; Brother2Brother, MEChA, SISTERS, CWU Alumni Association, CWU LatinX Alumni, CAMP!
3. High School Outreach
-Visiting high schools and community colleges and promoting CWU.
-Teaching students about resources like Scholarships and applying to college.
4. Fundraising
-Committees will be able to fundraise to send members to the US Hispanic Leadership Institute Conference (USHLI) in Chicago, Illinois.
