Hello!  I am Dr. Kurt Kirstein.  I reside in Monroe, WA on the west site of the state.

For the past nine years I have served as a faculty member and Program Director in business and technology at universities in the Seattle area. Prior to that I spent 20 years managing technical teams for organizations in the telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries. I earned my BS from The Evergreen State College, my MA in Adult Education from Seattle University, and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  I am excited to share my experience and perspectives with students as they get ready to enter the working world or as they prepare to advance in their current careers.

My personal time is spent either at my mountain lake cabin in British Columbia or in pursuit of other outdoor activities.  I am an avid fitness fan and spend a good amount of time in physical activities.

Advice to Students

My advice to students, in two parts:
1.  Let your work, whether it is through your academic or professional efforts, always be the best representation of your abilities. People will think that what you produce is what you are able to produce. If you cut corners, they will justifiably underestimate what they believe you to be capable of.
2.  Find out who and what you are meant to be and become that person.  Be exactly who you are meant to be.
