ITAM + Google in Slovakia

ITAMers on our Central Europe Faculty-Led Study Abroad Experience are having an amazing time!

On Wednesday, June 1, ITAM students attended a presentation by Rastislav Kulich, CEO of Google Slovakia. He is at the forefront of entrepreneurism and leadership in Central Europe. Like ITAM promotes in its leadership classes, Rastislav says the key to building an amazing company is to ensemble an all-star team with a common mission. It's about the people! It’s about empowering team members to try new ideas and not to worry about making mistakes.  Rastislav talked about the meaning of Googliness within their company. 1) Doing the right thing. 2) Striving for excellence. 3) Focusing on the mission. 4) Being proactive. 5) Being ethical. 6) Being nice to others and having fun! Rastislav is a role model for up and coming entrepreneurs and leaders. This stop at Google in Bratislava is one of many IT-related businesses featured in the ITAM faculty-led study abroad class.  Several ITAM students also played a game of foosball against two Google employees during the visit. Who won?  No one is talking!

ITAM offers these unique experiences every summer for academic credit. Some students are also able to use this to fulfill their internship requirement.
