Most international students choose to arrive at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEATAC). From the airport, there are daily shuttles to Ellensburg, which depart every 2 1/2 hours.
The easiest way to travel from the airport in Seattle to Ellensburg is by the Bellair Airporter Shuttle. A one-way ticket from the airport to Ellensburg is approximately $41. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance (select the drop-off location "Ellensburg - CWU Starbucks", which is very near campus).
The shuttle will drop you off in Ellensburg at the Starbucks near campus. A staff member from the international office will meet you at Starbucks if you arrive at the following times: 1:35 pm, 4:05 pm, 6:35 pm (Monday through Friday). If you arrive outside of these times, please contact our office for assistance.
If you elect to drive to campus, directions can be found here and a campus map can be found here, to help aid your arrival.
If you have additional questions about arriving to CWU, orientation, how the university is responding to COVID-19, or how you are expected to respond to COVID, check our Frequently Asked Questions for more information.
This free transportation service is available for all CWU students and family members. The service runs every day, with slightly limited hours during the weekends. A map of the routes (PDF) is available here.
Download the Uber app and arrange for the driver to pick you up and drop you off.
