IACUC Transitioning to New Web-Based Submission System!

In an effort to streamline tracking, communication, and retention surrounding animal research and education protocols and their related compliance documents, the IACUC is rolling out a new electronic management system known as IRBManager! Users can fill out and submit forms (initial applications, amendments/modifications, annual reviews, and final reports) directly into IRBManager. IRBManager will send automatic emails to users concerning necessary actions (with links directly to the page/form that needs attention) and upcoming expirations. All forms, attachments, and emails associated with a participating study will be accessible via IRBManager.

Starting June 1, 2019, IRBManager will replace the old web-based system for IACUC protocol submissions. Principal Investigators (PIs) with active protocols that were approved in the old system do not need to resubmit their protocols in IRBManager and will still use the old system to complete final report forms, unless a deadline for annual review of the protocol will occur between June 1, 2019 and the end of their study. In this case, PIs will be asked to resubmit their protocols in IRBManager, creating the opportunity for renewed approval for up to three years.
