Development Opportunities for Staff & Faculty:

  • Washington State Department of Enterprise Services

    Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) offers a variety of instructor-led courses at 1500 Jefferson in Olympia, the South Puget Sound Community College in Lacey, and other sites. The cost for their courses range from $120 to $300 per day. CWU does not have access to the State LMS system or their online trainings. To register for the in-person trainings call (360) 664-1921 or use the online form to submit your training registration request. The class offerings can be found at DES Training and Development.

  • Go2Knowledge Webinar

    Central Washington University has a Go2Knowledge Webinar subscription with Innovative Educators. CWU faculty, staff and students have unlimited access to live and on-demand professional development webinars that cover a variety of topics. These webinars are a great way to expand your existing professional skills, develop new professional skills to add to your resume, and contribute to your lifelong learning goals.

  • Employee Tuition Exemption

    Educating the citizens of Washington State is integral to Central Washington University’s mission. CWU encourages and supports its employees to continue their education by taking CWU classes. For more information, visit the CWU and State Employee Tuition Exemption page.

  • Auditing a CWU Course

    To audit a course, an employee needs to fill out the Schedule Change Form and present to the course instructor for signature. Then the form needs to be submitted to the Office of the Registrar. To receive the education benefit ($15 tuition), refer to the Education Benefits procedure.
